Everything about my indoor
Cannabis Grow Room
I get a lot of questions on social media about my setup so I figured to list all of my gardening tools and materials that I am currently using or that I have used in the past. I will be recommending products only based on my experience.
A little about me...
Hello I am Jo and I am a Medical Marijuana Patient since 2020 due to a chronic medical condition called EGPA. I developed this back in 2008. I am currently in remission (over two years). I have been growing my own plants for quite a while now. There’s many things that I wish I knew I needed when I was a beginner, the lack of experience and knowledge leaded me to many setbacks. This journey has taught me so much throughout the years and I’m happy to be able to help you get setup by providing you with the basics and with what you must have to be able to run a successful indoor grow asap. I will be pretty much summarizing things for you based on my knowledge. Thank you for visiting my blog. Enjoy!
…If you want to see more details about any particular item that I have listed down below simply click the links or images and you will be directed to their listing(s) and website(s) where I have purchased them.
My tents and lights.
I am Currently Using a 4×4 tent from AC Infinity. You can fit up to 8 plants (5 gallon Pots)
Im using SUNRAISE LED BAR8000 (800W) Grow Light. It fits perfectly in my 4×4 tent. Great quality and super affordable. Ideal for both veg and flower stage since is 100% dimmable.
You can start your plants in one tent. The only con is that the waiting will be longer since you will be vegging, waiting to flip to flower stage to then harvest using one same tent. The life cycle of a Cannabis plant can take 5 to 6 months. It would be ideal to split this process in two parts and have a veg tent and a flower tent that way you’re rotating your plants and filling up as you harvest.
I actually have two small tents, one is a 24×24 clone tent which I usually use for clones & germination and a 2×2.5 tent for veg, both by Gorilla.
24×24 Clone Tent for clones and germination.
This is the LED light that Im using in my clone tent. SUNRAISE SQB1000, 100 Watts, pretty small 33x25x6cm and 100% dimmable. I really love this light. It was a gift for purchasing the LED BAR8000. They only have this light available in their site sunraisegrowlight.com
2×2.5 Veg tent from Gorilla. I fit up 6 plants here since they are young and they are in smaller pots.
One of my LED grow light for Veg. Mars Hydro 3×3 TS 1000. Plants do pretty well.
Also the Bloom Plus BP 1000 is pretty affordable and does an ok job for Germination or Veg.
Must Have...
Air Carbon Filter, Inline Duct Fan
Carbon/Charcoal filters & Inline duct fans are important to help regulate temperature, keep air clean and reduce significantly the strong smell during flower stage.
Im sure there’s other affordable Carbon filter brands but this is the one that I’m currently using from AC Infinity, the Air Carbon Filter 12″. They also have their own Inline Duct Fan which includes a Digital Temperature Humidity Controller.
Im actually using a different brand as for the duct fan & Therm. because of budget reasons.
This is the particular Inline Duct Fan that I’m currently using from Vivosun, T6, 6″ 390 CFM. I think it works really well for the price. These two pieces attach together, you are only missing the Flexible Aluminum Ducting. I have listed two different brands. The 1st one is from AC Infinity and the 2nd from Vivosun. You can click each image to see direct information.
Outlet Timer & Extension cords
This is a must have. An outlet timer is needed to be able to set your plants schedule. Any will do the job.
Indoor mini 24 hours single outlet timer from BN-LINK.
It is safer to use a Surge Protector Power Strip and more if you’re using multiple plugs
I’m currently using both styles. This 8 outlet one is from BN-LINK as well. Also 24 hr.
Fan & Therm.
Fans will help with air circulation, regulate humidity and heat. They also simulate the wind so 3 to 4 of this particular size fan, one for each corner will keep your plants well balanced and happy. This clip Fan is from AC Infinity, 6″ 10 speeds.
Thermometers are quite important. You have to be able to know the temperature in your tent. Too much heat or humidity can stress and setback your plants. I don’t use anything fancy just this regular one from Thermopro.
Theres all types of fans and Temperature controllers, from basic models to digital ones. It’s really based on your preferences and budget.
Straps, hooks ETC
This will facilitate your installation greatly. I am currently using all items listed down below but of course you get to decide which product works for you.
Cable Zip Ties will keep all items and cords neatly in place.
S Hooks come in handy quite often, mostly to hold heavy items.
Stainless Steel Wire Cable with loop for air craft. Heavy Duty.
This is the first part of our setup. Next section will be all about soil, pots, minerals, nutrients and any essentials our plants need to be able to have a successful reproduction.
Plants home & food
Let’s talk about soil, pot sizes, nutrients etc…
This guide is based on my experience and what works for me. I have tried and combined many things that seem to do the job just fine. I am not too fancy, I prefer to do my research and stay on a budget.
